Lupus Finland

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, SLE or Lupus in short, is an autoimmune disease that affects the whole body.
There may be more than 2000 people in Finland who have Lupus, but no one knows for sure, because Lupus patients are not registered in Finland.
Lupus Finland is a member society of the Finnish Rheumatism Association. We focus on peer support, spreading Lupus awareness, organising yearly member meet-ups allover Finland. Lupus Finland is also a member of Lupus Europe that has 25 member countries.
Many rarer diseases are often better-known than Lupus. We are convinced that through this society we will get our voices heard and we will be able to reduce social exclusion of a patient, which often happens.
You are welcome to join our group either as an acting or a supporting member.
Unfortunately the pages are in Finnish, but if you have Lupus and live in Finland, contact us at yhteys (at) sle-yhdistys.fi.
